About Counseling, College and Career Services

School counselors are licensed educators who improve student success for all students by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program. Evanston Township High School has 15 grade level school counselors and 2 school counselors, specializing in college and career services.
The school counselors at Evanston Township High School are advocates who assist students in identifying and achieving academic, career, personal, social and emotional goals. Counselors promote and support the educational process by helping students explore their abilities, strengths, interests, and talents, while planning for life after high school. Counselors interact not only with students, but also with parents, teachers, administrators, and outside agencies and organizations in order to provide the best educational environment and opportunities for all students.
