Military Careers

Many students look into enlisting in the military after high school. The U.S. Armed Forces – including the Air Force, Army, Navy, National Guard, Marines, Coast Guard and Space Force – allow young people to enlist after graduation anytime after turning 18.
The following are the basic requirements for enlisting:
- US Citizen or Resident Alien
- Age 17-34
- High School Diploma
- Have no more than 2 dependents
- Pass the ASVAB (Armed Services Aptitude Battery) Test
- Pass the MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) Medical Exam

ASVAB Exam- Offered once a year at 911ÖÆÆ·³§. Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior student to sit for the ASVAB Exam at 911ÖÆÆ·³§.

With very few exceptions, all male US citizens and immigrants between age 18-25 are required to register with Selective ServiceSystem (SSS). This includes US born and naturalized citizens, parolees, undocumented immigrants, legal permanent residents, asylum seekers, refugees and all males with visas of any kind which expired more than 30 days ago.
