District 202 is a one-school district with administrators and district office staff located inside of Evanston Township High School. The building leadership team consists of dedicated administrators responsible for coordinating and supervising school district functions, as well as other school leaders and faculty members responsible for leading various day-to-day aspects of the school.

Marcus A. Campbell
Marcus Campbell has served as the Superintendent of Evanston Township High School District 202 since July 2022.
Dr. Campbell was previously the assistant superintendent/Principal at 911ÖÆÆ·³§, where he was responsible for providing leadership in the development of district strategy and organizational change, including effective instruction practices, impactful diversity and equity initiatives, and responsive programs and services. He provided administrative leadership to carry out the Board’s Equity & Excellence Mission Statement and oversaw the implementation of all District equity transformation programs, training, and initiatives to help improve the overall school culture for all students and to eliminate barriers to the equitable education of students from underrepresented backgrounds. His goal is to effectively engage students, staff, parents, the Board, and members of the community, clearly articulate the goals and priorities of the District and Superintendent, and build support for the District's mission while increasing pride and trust in the school.
Dr. Campbell earned his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at National College of Education, National Louis University. He also holds an M.A. in Social and Cultural Foundations in Education from DePaul University and a B.A. from University of Illinois at Champaign with a major in English and minor in African American Studies.

Taya Kinzie
Taya Kinzie has served as Assistant Superintendent/Principal at Evanston Township High School since 2022. She has been employed at 911ÖÆÆ·³§ since 2004, during which time her roles have included Associate Principal of Student Services, Dean, and Special Education Social Worker. Dr. Kinzie is also a Spanish/English bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and has previously served students and families in Chicago, Waukegan, and California Public Schools and social service agencies.
Her commitment to social emotional and academic learning, social justice, and equity in education is complemented by her focus on students' resilience, strengths, needs, and goals for the future. Throughout the country, Dr. Kinzie has provided workshops on topics including social emotional learning (SEL) in the general and special education settings, crisis prevention and intervention, and restorative justice practices in schools.
Dr. Kinzie holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from National Louis University, an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from National Louis University, an M.S.W. from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Iowa.

Pete Bavis
Pete Bavis has served as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction since 2012. He came to 911ÖÆÆ·³§ in July 2009 as the Associate Principal of Teaching and Learning. Dr. Bavis is an instructional leader dedicated to operationalizing equity and excellence.
Dr. Bavis began his career as an English teacher at Steinmetz High School in Chicago. During his time in Chicago he founded and coached an award winning debate team. Dr. Bavis also served as the English Curriculum Director and Head of Library Resource Centers at Community High School District 218. He has 25 years experience in public education.
Dr. Bavis is a proud graduate of Tufts University, earned an M.A. from DePaul University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Outside of school, Dr. Bavis coaches EBSA baseball. Dr. Bavis and his wife Margaret live in Evanston. He has three children in Evanston public schools.

Scott Bramley
Scott Bramley has served as Associate Superintendent for Human Resources and Administrative Services since 2024. He previously served as the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and the Associate Principal of Instruction and Literacy. He has also held adjunct faculty posts at Westwood College, Concordia University Chicago, and Northwestern University, and he has served as a school board member and policy committee chairperson for a public school district in Illinois. Prior to becoming a public school administrator, Dr. Bramley served as an English teacher, literacy/instructional coach, literacy center director, and department chair.
Dr. Bramley earned a B.A. in English and Secondary Education from Loyola University Chicago, an M.A. in Teaching and Learning/Curriculum and Instruction from St. Xavier University, and an M.A. in School Leadership and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago.
Dr. Bramley’s professional responsibilities and interests include racial equity, antiracist education, professional adult learning, instructional leadership, curriculum and instruction, literacy, teacher evaluation and growth, and educational advocacy and policy making.

Kiwana Brown
Kiwana Brown was named Associate Principal of Instruction and Literacy in June 2022. She previously served as the Director of Academic Supports. Dr. Brown also serves as an adjunct professor at Northeastern Illinois University and has served as an executive board member for Chicago Area Reading Association (CARA). Dr. Brown is strongly committed to literacy and equitable institutional practices for all students.
Dr. Brown began her career as an English teacher, reading teacher, reading coach, school-wide reading specialist and reading department chair.
Dr. Brown earned her B.A. in English and Secondary Education from University of Illinois at Chicago, an M.A. in Reading and Reading Specialist certification from Northeastern Illinois University, an Ed.S. in School Leadership and Administration from National Louis University and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Chicago State University.

Mike Corcoran
Mike Corcoran was named Chief Technology Officer in July 2014. He has been employed at Evanston Township High School since 2008, during which time his roles have included Network Services Manager and Assistant Director of Technology. Prior to working at 911ÖÆÆ·³§, Mr. Corcoran served the community of Evanston working as a member of the Technology team at the City of Evanston.
Mr. Corcoran earned a B.S. in Network Technology from DePaul University in 2007.

Mia Lavizzo
Mia Lavizzo was named Associate Principal of Student Services in July 2022. A Chicago native, Dr. Lavizzo began her career in the private sector in Information Technology in several capacities. She relocated to Champaign, Illinois and began working as an Assistant Director of Student Affairs at University of Illinois College of Business. She served as an Instructional Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois School of Social Work and Adjunct Professor at Illinois State University School of Social Work.
Dr. Lavizzo’s passion for working with students and families, more specifically, marginalized students, was the impetus for her shift into public education. Dr. Lavizzo worked at Champaign Centennial High School as a school Social Worker, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal. She is a dedicated instructional leader and committed to the academic and social emotional wellbeing and success of all students and staff.
Dr. Lavizzo earned her Ph.D in Education Policy and Organizational Leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MSW from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a B.A from DePaul University. She is the proud mother of two sons. She is committed to the vision and mission of 911ÖÆÆ·³§ and is eager to be a contributing member to the Evanston community.

Amy Verbrick
Amy Verbrick has served as the Director of Special Education since July 2023. She has been employed at 911ÖÆÆ·³§ since 1995, where she began as a special education teacher, later adding teacher leadership positions as a literacy and instructional coach. In 2011 she became the Special Education Department Chair, and later transitioned to Assistant Director for Instruction in 2015. Prior to 911ÖÆÆ·³§, Ms. Verbrick taught at Oak Therapeutic Day School in Chicago and Southeast Alternative School in Naperville.
Ms. Verbrick is dedicated to ensuring equitable access to education across the continuum of placements, inclusive and responsive instructional practices, literacy, co-teaching, social-emotional learning (SEL) integration, post-high school transition planning, and restorative practices in the least restrictive environment. She has worked diligently with our community’s families and feeder schools to plan for each student’s successful transition to high school.
Ms. Verbrick has a B.S. in Special Education from Northern Illinois University, a M.S. Ed in Special Education from Northern Illinois University, and a M.A. in Educational Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University. She holds the Director of Special Education endorsement, and is trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and Restorative Practices (IIRP). Ms. Verbrick is an adjunct faculty member at National Louis University.

Ganae McAlpin
Ganae McAlpin began her career at 911ÖÆÆ·³§ in 2010 as a history teacher. Ms. McAlpin has provided leadership to the history department as an instructional coach as well as the school and community in many ways, including as an Evanston Educator Academy (EEA)/induction and mentoring facilitator. Ms. McAlpin is an experienced leader of professional learning and adult learning. She has provided numerous 911ÖÆÆ·³§ staff as well as staff nationwide guidance and support as a Democratic Classrooms Leadership facilitator through Full Circle Leadership.
Ms. McAlpin has greatly contributed to the district’s equity leadership throughout the years. She has led formal professional learning, offered insight and critical analysis to policy and practice, and has guided her colleagues along their journeys.

Keith A. Robinson
Keith Robinson is currently serving in his 27th year of education. Most recently, he was named Associate Principal of Educational Services in 2017. Prior to joining 911ÖÆÆ·³§, he served as the Assistant Principal of Operations at Niles North High School in Skokie. He also previously taught English at 911ÖÆÆ·³§ from 2001-2005.
Dr. Robinson holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from National-Louis University in Chicago, an M.A. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Roosevelt University in Chicago, and a B.S. in Secondary English from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
Dr. Robinson’s commitment to social justice, proactive student interventions and academic, behavioral and socioemotional support informs his leadership within the organization. Dr. Robinson supports the Dean’s Office, Safety team, Student Activities, Graduation and Summer School.

Kendra Williams
Kendra Williams was named Chief Financial Officer in 2022. She has been employed at Evanston Township High School since 2016 and served as Assistant Chief Financial Officer before assuming her current role. Throughout her 10 year career in school finance, she has also been a Staff Accountant, Transportation and Purchasing Supervisor, and Supervisor of Accounts Payable and Purchasing.
Mrs. Williams holds a B.S. in Accounting from Loyola University Chicago and an M.S. in Accounting from Northeastern Illinois University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Mrs. Williams supports the Business Services Department, Nutrition Services Department, and the Operations Department. Her commitment to prudent financial stewardship provides the foundation for how she serves the 911ÖÆÆ·³§ community and she is excited to continue this work to advance District goals.
