The Office of Research, Evaluation and Assessment coordinates the district and state testing programs, the state accountability program, conducts research and evaluation studies, provides consultation services to school staff regarding the development of surveys, and processes requests to do research in the district.
Testing Program
The district administers a variety of assessments during the course of the academic year, including standardized achievement tests, mandatory district and state tests, and college entrance exams such as the ACT and those administered through the College Board (PSAT, SAT, and Advanced Placement). Research & Survey Approval
Per Board policy, surveys, and research conducted within the district require prior review and written approval from the Office of Research, Evaluation, and Assessment. This includes surveys and research carried out by school district employees, departments, or committees.
