Principal Search

  • Evanston Township High School has launched a search for its next Principal, who will assume the position in July 2025. The district seeks a leader whose leadership will uphold 911ÖÆÆ·³§’s mission and ensure a continuation of the school’s tradition of excellence. 911ÖÆÆ·³§ is dedicated to a thoughtful, inclusive hiring process that reflects the diversity, values, and priorities of our school community.

    Dr. Scott Bramley, Associate Superintendent for Human Resources and Administrative Services, is leading the search and hiring process for the district.

     

    Timeline and Overview

    District 202 values the voices of students, staff, and families and is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for their participation during the principal search process.

    • The principal position vacancy has been posted online, shared via social media, and distributed to multiple professional organizations. The posting will remain open through March 7, 2025. .

    • March 3–12: Students, staff, parents/guardians, and community members are invited to complete a brief, anonymous survey to help identify qualities and priorities for the next 911ÖÆÆ·³§ principal. The survey closes on March 12, 2025. Please click here to complete the survey: |

    • Students and staff will have the opportunity to participate in in-person listening sessions with the Superintendent to share their input on the qualities and priorities for the next 911ÖÆÆ·³§ principal.

      • Listening Session for Staff: Wednesday, March 12, 3:45pm to 4:30pm (N112)

      • Listening Session for Students: Thursday, March 13, 3:45pm to 4:30pm (N112)

    • Input from the survey and listening sessions will be used to develop an ideal principal profile, which will be shared with advisory committees and used to guide the selection process.

    • A selection of students and staff members will serve on advisory committees that will conduct in-person interviews with selected candidates.

    • Finalists will interview with the Superintendent and his leadership team.

    • The Superintendent intends to present his recommendation for hire to the Board of Education at its regular meeting on April 7, 2025 to ensure adequate time for a smooth transition.
