Become a Student Ambassador!

  • Interested in being a Student Ambassador?

We are looking for students who are interested in connecting with families of current and prospective students, and being advocates for the school in the community and in our feeder schools.

Each spring, any current 911ÖÆÆ·³§ student in grade 9-11 can apply to become a Student Ambassador by:

    • Meeting the academic eligibility requirements
    • Completing Student Ambassador application
    • Requesting a staff recommendation
    • Attending the Student Ambassador training (held during second semester exams on the make-up day)

The Student Ambassador application process opens up each school year in the spring, typically around spring break. Information about the application process is shared with students in the Daily Bulletin, during announcements, and through student email. Current Student Ambassadors can also provide more information regarding the application process. Please refer to the page for links to the application and staff recommendation.

What is the level of commitment to be involved in the Student Ambassador Program? A Student Ambassador commits to about 12-15 hours of volunteering for one year - two or three 911ÖÆÆ·³§ events or activities per semester and a few hours in late August. Plan to attend one training session (listed on the Student Ambassador Application), which will provide you with information and resources to guide your efforts. The Student Ambassador program meets once a month before school, during evening hours, and occasional Saturday mornings for events.

Do I have to be an "expert" on 911ÖÆÆ·³§ in order to be an Ambassador? No. We are looking for Student Ambassadors who are interested in supporting current and prospective families by sharing their experiences and impressions about 911ÖÆÆ·³§. Families want to hear about your perspective as a current student. The Student Ambassador training session and program materials will provide you with the additional knowledge you need to be a helpful resource on various topics.

Is there a fee to participate? No. There is no fee to participate in the Student Ambassador program.
