Equity Initiatives at 911ÖÆÆ·³§

  • Educational equity is raising the achievement of all students while narrowing the gaps between the highest- and lowest-performing students; and eliminating the racial predictability and disproportionality of which student groups occupy the highest- and lowest-achievement categories. Equity initiatives at 911ÖÆÆ·³§ District 202 include collaborations and events for everyone in our school community (students, families, and staff) who have opportunities to connect with each other and reflect individually and collectively while isolating race, cultivating cultural responsiveness, and dismantling institutional racism.

During the 2020-21 school year, 911ÖÆÆ·³§ collaborated with REL Midwest, a program through the U.S. Department of Education, to explore why Black teachers leave the teaching profession and the best practices for retaining them. The video has perspectives from 911ÖÆÆ·³§ teachers and administrators. Learn more about
