NCAA
Division I- Top Athletes with qualifying academic record - sport-specific ask your coach
- Full Athletic scholarships (mostly partials) available including tuition, fees, room & board and books
- Strict eligibility requirements
- Minimum academic requirements for athletic contests against DI opponents
NCAA
Division II- Wider range of athletic talent
- Mostly partial/Some full Athletic scholarships available including tuition, fees, room & board and books
- Strict eligibility requirements
- Minimum requirements for athletic contests and participants in each sport
NCAA
Division III- Generally smaller colleges
- Wide range of athletic talent
- No Athletic scholarships offered - HOWEVER - many students earn merit and need-based aid equal to full scholarships
- No specific eligibility requirements other than being admitted
- Emphasis of benefit placed on participants rather than spectators
NAIA
- Wide range of athletic talent
- Athletic scholarships available
- Min eligibility standards = 2.0 school GPA and 970 SAT
NJCAA
- Wide range of athletic talent
- Athletic scholarships available
- Eligibility determined by junior college enrollment
- Transfer opportunity to athletic associations listed above
INTRAMURAL/CLUB
- Wide range of talent depending on the strength of Varsity and size of the school
- Continue playing without the pressures of Varsity commitments
