Student Parking Permit FAQs

  • Can I still obtain a permit if I do not have a driver’s license yet?
    A: No, you need a valid Illinois driver’s license.

    Can I still obtain a permit if I do not have a vehicle yet?
    A: No. The permit is installed on the vehicle at time of pick-up.

    Can I sell my permit to another student?
    A: No, permits cannot be sold to other students.

    What should I do if I can not pick up my permit during the allotted time?
    A: Contact the 911ÖÆÆ·³§ Safety Department at at (847) 424-7510 or asksafety@eths202.org.

    What should I do if I have to change vehicles from the original vehicle which was registered?
    A: Please make every effort to remove the student parking permit from the windshield of the vehicle that was originally registered with the school and bring the remnants to the Safety Office (room H102). A temporary student parking permit will be issued for the same parking space in the same student parking lot for a limited duration of time.

    What should I do if I drive a different vehicle to school other than the vehicle which was registered?
    A: Notify a member of the 911ÖÆÆ·³§ Safety staff immediately upon entering the building at one of the primary entrances (#1, #2 or #3).

    What if someone else is parked in my assigned parking space when I arrive at school?
    A: Notify a member of the 911ÖÆÆ·³§ Safety staff immediately upon entering the building at one of the primary entrances (#1, #2 or #3).

    How is the lottery conducted?
    A: Eligible, registered students will be selected randomly through an electronic lottery drawing, which is administered through the Instructional and Informational Technology Department (IIT).

    Will there be other opportunities throughout the school year to obtain a parking permit?
    A: No, there is no other opportunity during the school year to obtain a parking permit.

    What options are available if I need to replace a permit?
    A: Visit the Safety Office (Room H102).

    Are there parking permit provisions for students with special conditions, modifications, and services (including medical needs) to help them participate in their educational and school-related activities?
    A: No, there are not.
