    General Parking Guidelines

    Parking restrictions in 911ÖÆÆ·³§ parking lots are in effect between 6:00am and 4:00pm whenever school is in session. Staff and student permit parking are assigned as designated in the parking lot map. For information on student parking guidelines and permits, visit the Student Parking Permit page.
     
    Visitors to the school must park in designated visitor spaces in Lot #1 and Lot #2, or Lot #4 during school hours, or will be subject to a ticket. Vehicles may be parked (permit or not) in any 911ÖÆÆ·³§ parking lot to attend school-related activities after 4:00pm, or on any day when school is not in session. Vehicles may not be left overnight at any time unless approved by the Safety Office.

    Students, staff, and school visitors parking on the streets around 911ÖÆÆ·³§ should be aware of parking restrictions posted by the City of Evanston. 911ÖÆÆ·³§ parking lots are patrolled by the City of Evanston and 911ÖÆÆ·³§ Safety staff. All parking violations, as well as violations of the Illinois Vehicle Code, may be enforced while parked on 911ÖÆÆ·³§ property. Students, staff and school visitors are responsible for the payment of violations they receive on 911ÖÆÆ·³§ property and can be boot-eligible for non-payment of tickets issued.

    Drivers are responsible for securing their vehicles. The school is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen property brought to school or to a school activity. Report lost or stolen property to the Safety Office (H102) immediately.


    Student Drop-Off/Pick-Up

    The main student drop-off and pick-up site is located on the west side of the campus behind the high school and can be accessed by turning into the 911ÖÆÆ·³§ campus from Church Street or Lake Street. Follow Wildkit Drive to the drop-off area adjacent to Entrance 2 or Entrance 3.

    Students may also be dropped off/picked up along Dodge Avenue in front of the high school. Traffic in this area is very congested and drop-off/pick-up at this site is not recommended, especially after school is dismissed. CTA buses will be lined up along Dodge Avenue during dismissal and vehicles that are impeding bus traffic will be asked to move.

    Students may also be dropped off/picked up in the staff parking Lot 1 across from the high school. Drivers should use caution and adhere to speed limits while dropping off/picking up students in this lot. The speed limit in all school parking lots is 10 mph and is in effect at all times.

    Traffic into and out of these areas before and after school will be very congested. Expect increased traffic congestion on the first day of school and summer school. The school zone speed limit around 911ÖÆÆ·³§ is 20 mph and is in effect when children are present. Traffic violation fines are doubled in school zones.


    Public Transportation

    Students may ride CTA buses and trains and PACE buses on weekdays for a reduced fare by purchasing a Student Ventra Card. 911ÖÆÆ·³§ student IDs are not accepted by the CTA or PACE. Purchase your new 911ÖÆÆ·³§ Student Ventra card ($2) in the Student Accounts Office (H110).  
     
    Students must renew their card at the start of each school year to continue to ride CTA/Pace for a discounted student rate. They can fill out the or visit the Student Accounts Office (H110). 911ÖÆÆ·³§ does not control how or when Ventra activates the student reduced fare. As a result, your student may have to pay full fare at the start of the school year until Ventra activates the cards.     Biking

    Students, staff and school visitors who ride bikes to 911ÖÆÆ·³§ can secure bicycles to designated racks behind the school, on the south end of Wildkit Drive, in the Bike Compounds located behind the school near Entrance 3, and in front of Beardsley Gym on the east side of the school. Bike riders are responsible for properly locking their bikes on authorized bike racks only. Students are encouraged to register their bicycles with serial numbers in their accountBikes will be immobilized or removed if parked in other locations on the 911ÖÆÆ·³§ property, including sign posts, railings, and benches. Riders under the age of 18 are advised to wear bike helmets to comply with the City of Evanston ordinance. to view City of Evanston bike maps.
