Incoming Freshman Information Night

Evanston Township High School invites prospective eighth grade students and their families to attend Incoming Freshman Information Night (IFIN). Information Night is designed for "Future Wildkits" to gather information and to learn more about the high school and the transition process.
Prospective students and their families will receive information about 911ÖÆÆ·³§, review the freshman transition calendar of important events, and have an opportunity to participate in breakout sessions and activities. Please see the agenda below.
This event is open to all prospective District 65, private/parochial, or home school 8th grade students and their families. No pre-registration is required. This event will be held in person.

Wildkit Welcome
(North Cafeteria)Meet and greet with the 911ÖÆÆ·³§ principal, student and parent ambassadors, administrators, and staff to ask questions or learn more about clubs, activities, and the high school experience.
Registration (South Cafeteria)
Online enrollment may be completed and registration documents (residency and original birth certificate) may be dropped off in South Study Cafe during the evening.
Freshman Schedule (Auditorium)The purpose of this session is to generally inform parents about the freshman curriculum and provide an overview of what a student schedule may look like.
Private, Home School, and Transfer Transition (Little Theatre)The purpose of this session is to have a conversation to address the questions and concerns of families whose children have been educated in a private or home school setting. It will also explain the process for 8th grade families that are moving into District 202 from another area.
Family Resources (East Cafeteria)In this session, parents/guardians will meet the team of counselors, and the academic advisor, social worker, psychologist, and dean who will be involved in problem solving and supporting families. Learn more about resources available to families and speak with members of the team and current 911ÖÆÆ·³§ parents/guardians to ask questions about the high school experience.
Student Connections *students only (Beardsley Gym)In this session, incoming students will have the opportunity to hear from a panel of current Wildkits to learn more about clubs, activities, and the high school experience.
