    In 2017, Evanston Township High School District 202 was one of a select group of schools in Illinois to be designated as a Google for Education Reference District, joining other school districts and independent schools worldwide who are leaders in educational innovation and transformation. The recognition is offered by invitation only to districts that reach a specific adoption and usage criteria determined by Google. As part of this effort, the 911ÖÆÆ·³§ Instructional and Informational Technology (IIT) Department leads a number of projects and programs.

    • In the 2016-17 school year, 911ÖÆÆ·³§ District 202 provided more than 3,400 Chromebooks to all students as part of its 1:1 Digital Learning Initiative.

    • 911ÖÆÆ·³§ has a growing number of including: 15 Level 1 Educators, 5 Level Educators, 2 Google Certified Trainers, and 1 Google Certified Innovator.

    • 911ÖÆÆ·³§ staff members share and lead as presenters and leaders of local, state, and national "edtech" groups including: (NICE) , (IETC), (ICE), , and (ISTE).

    • The ChromeZone was established as a student-led technology support center for Chromebooks.

    • An Information Technology Internship Course is available as part of the course offerings.

    • The South Technology Center includes a Maker Space/Lab.

    • Extracurricular activities include Youth Technology Corps.

    • 911ÖÆÆ·³§ participates in the national Hour of Code program.

    • Classroom and learning spaces like the planetarium integrate state-of-the-art technology.

    • 911ÖÆÆ·³§ offers numerous technology access points via wireless technology, WiFi hotspots for 911ÖÆÆ·³§ students to borrow for free, and remote printing capabilities for staff.

    • 911ÖÆÆ·³§ District 202 collaborates on certain technology initiatives with Evanston/Skokie District 65.
